The building housed Hungarian and German soldiers during the Second World War. After 1944 it was a Pediatric Hospital, in 1972 it was transformed into the Marmația Hotel. Since 2000, it has been owned by Mimo International, which modernized the hotel, the works being completed in August 2008. In May 2012, the hotel was sold, becoming the property of Arcer, and in 2013, it changed its name to Hotel Grădina Morii.
