The building housed Hungarian and German soldiers during the Second World War. After 1944 it was a Pediatric Hospital, in 1972 it was transformed into the Marmația Hotel. Since 2000, it has been owned by Mimo International, which modernized the hotel, the works being completed in August 2008. In May 2012, the hotel was sold, becoming the property of Arcer, and in 2013, it changed its name to Hotel Grădina Morii.

Hotel Restaurant “Grădina Morii” preserves the architecture of Austrian influence, using wood, stone, decorative shutters, balconies and other elements specific to the style. Located in Grădina Morii Park, at the foot of Solovan Hill, the hotel has a special position, in a wonderful natural setting, overlooking the Iza river, and also, towards the park and the city.
The hotel has 49 rooms classified as 3 stars, including rooms for disabled people. All rooms are equipped with:

The restaurant has a capacity of 140 seats, here you can choose from the varied menu, traditional Romanian and international dishes, wines from famous vineyards, in a pleasant musical atmosphere.
On the terrace of the restaurant (capacity 80 seats) you can spend pleasant moments in the open air and you can have country meals, picnics near the Iza river and barbeques with a campfire in the specially arranged area.
The day bar has a capacity of 20 seats and offers a generous range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails prepared according to the finest techniques and coffee breaks within the business programs.
In the bar area and in the extension of the hall there is a Hot Spot – business area with wireless internet.
The conference room has up to 50 seats and is equipped with an overhead projector, flip-chart, sound system, projection screen, etc.
It can be adapted to various types of events: conferences, trainings, workshops, exhibitions, business meetings, etc.
